Facts about Honey

  • Breed: Beagle Mix
  • Color: Brown/Chocolate - With White
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Sweet Honey is an awesome gal who loves to smile. She is fantastic with people and does not know a stranger! She has the beautiful face of a beagle and the soft fur. She likes to hangout with her foster brother. Honey does well on a leash and likes going for car rides. Honey is about 36 pounds and she is 8 years young. She is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm tested. Honey’s story has had some sad chapters! She was in a home where her former guardian had to surrender her to us because her guardian could no longer care for her due to medical reasons. She is now in a foster home with other dogs and she is learning to adjust to her new life. Honey is missing most of her right ear because it was chewed off by another dog when she was a puppy. She does not hold a grudge though and she is a happy-go lucky girl. If you would like to give sweet Honey a happy ending to her story, please complete a foster application at ITVrescue.org.

About It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

It Takes A Village Canine Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) dog rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless dogs irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, local veterinarians, animal control, trainers, and boarding facilities, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, black dogs and other hard-to-place dogs.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are generally at Petsmart on Burkhart every Sunday and have adoption events at various locations throughout the year.

Our Adoption Process...

We require all adopters to complete an application and pay an adoption fee. Adoption fees vary, but are usually $150 to $175. We may do a vet reference check and/or home visit.
