Xandi’s mom is Kiya, the Egyptian Mau kitty who went out for an amorous evening and came home pregnant. Her owner surrendered her to Purebreds Plus because she had a number of other pets and pregnant Kiya really wanted to have some privacy. Her beautiful 6 kittens were born in her foster home.
Xandi is the only one who looks like her mom. She is a wonderful kitten. Her tawny eyes are breathtaking. The tip of her long tail is always curled. Her soft tummy is so spotted. She is a delight.
As is appropriate for her age and background, her favorite thing is to run, jump, and play. She likes attention and petting but mostly wants it when she is tired of playing. Her favorite toy is a feather but really, she finds everything a toy -- bags, boxes, you name it . The world is her toy. She is quite the athlete. She has elegant lines and will be a very striking adult.
Xandi needs a home with other kittens or cats and maybe, with the right introduction, gentle dogs to play with. She needs a stimulating environment with humans who want an intelligent, mischievous, athletic cat. She would probably be fine with older children who would be careful not to let her outside. Her Mau heritage would likely make her bond very strongly with her new family.
She eats wet and dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
