Star's Story...
Star was found as a stray and brought to a pet store by a Good Sam. He was then fostered for our organization for several weeks before we were able to get him neutered. We do not have any background info on him since he was a stray. Star is a young Californian or Himalayan mix. He weighs 4.5 pounds and we estimate he is about 7 months old. He was neutered on 3/30/16. Star is progressing well with his litter box habits and skills.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Star, a Wilmington Himalayan was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Himalayan for sale in Wilmington, or seeking a Himalayan from a breeder in Wilmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wilmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wilmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Himalayan breeders who help with Himalayan rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wilmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
