My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oliver! A four year old male tri color Collie. He was shaved down when rescued but his hair is growing back in nicely. He is going to be SO beautiful once all his hair grows back in. Super goofy/sweet personality. He is smart and playful. Great with kids. He is house broken, doesn't chew anything, but does like to sleep on the couch. He would love to be a lap dog if you'd let him.

Oliver has a LOT of personality but can be a little dominate. He would do best as an only dog, with other balanced or submissive dogs OR with someone who has experience with dogs. He gets along great with my balanced neutered male and female dog, but has an issue with a non-neutered male that comes to visit. He used to jump up onto people but I've pretty much broken him of this.
Oliver tends to walk in front of you or 'cut you off' as you walk and playingly bite at your shoes and wraps one paw around your leg. I think these are dominance traits and can be easily worked out, but he may need a more experienced owner.

I think Oliver could be cat safe if someone took the time to introduce them slowly with a cat that was not afraid. He might chase one that runs.

Oliver is over-all a really sweet dog with a lot of potential, He just needs the right home that will put a little time into him. He will sit and lay down on command. He will also shake both left and right paws. He takes treats gently from your hand. The will lay his head in your lap. I would recommend an obedience class for him and his new owner. Over all, a super sweet, loving fella. He deserves a great home
