Here's what the humans have to say about me:
A lot of things have happened in the past year. Leonardo DiCaprio finally won an Oscar for Best Actor. Stranger Things debuted on Netflix and brought a whole new meaning to the term “binge-watching.” In the past year, the Cubs won the World Series, we inaugurated a new president, and the Atlanta Falcons blew a 28-3 lead to bring the New England Patriots another Super Bowl Championship. For the past year, I have lived with a foster family in the care of Chicagoland Dog Rescue. And as much as my foster Mom loves me, the longer I stay with her other dogs go without a foster home.
March 17th marked one year since I was surrendered to CDR. For 365+ days, me and my foster Mom and CDR have wondered when my forever family will come for me! I’m a 3 year old English Pointer who earned my name being as pretty and sweet as the first rose of summer. I was an owner surrender who is crate trained and has come a long way with her house manners. I have seen dozens of dogs come and go since I’ve been with CDR and week after week I patiently wait at the adoption events hoping someone will choose me.
If you visit me at an adoption event, you’ll find me curled up on my blanket, relaxing with a toy or two. But give me some room and watch me run! Due to my breed, I am a naturally an active dog. I like to run and play and would do best in a home with the space and company that will allow me to do so. No electric fences for me! I’m so fast, they won’t slow me down, let alone stop me! I am very loyal and very sweet. However, I do like to be the alpha dog. So a home with a dog who is more submissive or a home where I can be the only dog is ideal! (No cats for me! I think they are something fun to chase!)
XOXOXO-Rosie
