Initial Bio 4/13/2016



Meet Timmy and Katie a pair of five-year old, 13 pound Yorkies being fostered in Fort Meyers, FL.



All adoptions through United Yorkie Rescue require a Vet check/Reference, personal references and a home visit. The adoption fee for Timmie and Katie (must be adopted together) is $600. Timmy and his sister Katie came into UYR after their owner passed away. They were litter mates and have been together their entire lives. They are a truly bonded pair so we are going to try VERY HARD to get them adopted together.



Timmy and Katie belonged to a person who was immobile and did not leave the home very much. Because of this, Timmy's and Katie’s world was limited to their home where they lived almost exclusively indoors and knew a very small circle of humans. For this reason, they lack the social skills that most other dogs their age might have. They are both sweet dogs, but they are now being forced to adjust to a new life in a strange place away from the only people they have even known. This is another reason we feel that it is important to keep these two together if at all possible.



Timmy (and Katie) have just landed in their foster home. They will soon be going to the Veterinarian for exams and any necessary medical care. Please stay tuned for updates as we get to know this adorable pair of Yorkies better.
