Pip's Story...
Hello, my name is Pip. I am a special needs dog looking for a loving home to share my life. I am 10 years young and weigh 6 pounds. I am a male white poodle, but I am starting to turn apricot colored.

I arrived into Puppy Pals Rescue from a breeder in KY. One of my pups recently arrived prior to me and she’s been adopted. Her name was Lil Bit. I’ve had a rough life... breeding puppies. It sounds like a glam job, but it’s not due to the conditions we live in year-after-year. We are outside in the winter and summer with no cover over our wire cages to keep the snow, sun and rain off of us. Not a life I would highly recommend for a loving fella like myself.

I came to Puppy Pals Rescue when I was released from my breeder position. I came with some health issues that we are currently working on. I’ve had EKG’s, Chest Xrays, Ultra-sounds and it seems I have some lung issues and an enlarged heart. I’m currently taking some medication to help me from coughing. Most likely, I will need to stay on medication the rest of my life.

I just love living the life I have now – even if it can be a bit crazy at my foster home some days with puppies playing and barking. I just trot around the kitchen and family room - I'm happy go lucky. I love to lay in a doggie bed by the back door to sun myself and love to eat at any opportunity. I love it outside and run around the backyard and bark occasionally at nothing at all. I just want people to know that I’m here and having a good time.

I was neutered just prior to my leaving KY and upon getting to PPR, was taken to the vet where I received updated shots and had all my health testing completed. I’m currently taking Prednisone pills to help with my heart. PPR has provided everything for me without question. They believe that I deserve to be happy. I was just groomed and look like a puff ball of fur.

I’m still very active guy – I’ve been to Petco Events and enjoy all the customers talking to me and being with the other doggies. I love the attention. This is a joy that I’ve not had up until now.

If you have a place in your heart for a little senior boy – who just wants to enjoy life – please consider taking me into your home to love. My foster home is taking wonderful care of me and I know that I’ll have a safe place within PPR forever. However, I feel everyone deserves a place of their own!

If you have any questions please contact my foster mom at the link found at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Dogs_Pip1615.html.  Fill out an application if you are interested in adopting me - you can find those at http://puppypalsrescue.com/Applications.html  (Email my foster home and let them know an application has been sent so they can make sure it arrives!)

I just can't wait to find a forever home!  Thanks!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pip, a Beavercreek Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Beavercreek, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Beavercreek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beavercreek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beavercreek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beavercreek paves the way for another one to be saved.
