My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This little fellow is Indy, a 10-pound Yorkshire Terrier looking for a new forever home. He may be 7.5 years old but don’t let his age fool you! Indy’s foster describes this playful guy as the “Energizer Bunny,” and reports that even a 1.5 km jog didn’t tire him out. Indy is also a bit mischievous but is very smart and has oodles of potential. An experienced owner who is able to provide him with lots of attention and exercise is what Indy needs. It seems to us that Indy is just making up for what he hasn’t had much of before he came to our care. He can be vocal, so would not be suitable for an apartment. Even though he can be a bit of a handful at times, Indy’s foster has taken it all in stride because he’s just so darn cute, and doesn’t have a mean bone in his happy little body. Indy made himself quite at home with his foster family pretty much right away, and gets along fine with the two resident Chihuahuas. Do not contact us if you’re looking for a couch potato, but if you have the patience and know-how to give Indy the guidance he needs to polish his manners, he will make a delightfully fun companion! Indy will need an adult home or one with children over the age of 12 years. Please complete an adoption questionnaire on our website if Indy sounds like the guy for you.
