It’s a big world out there, one little Spanky is still learning about. This 2-year-old, 6 lb. chihuahua was saved from a hoarding situation where she was being housed with over 30 German Shepherd dogs. Unfortunately, tiny Spanky was overlooked in the chaos of her former home and though very sweet, she is still a bit shy with strangers. All this pup needs is a safe home and a warm bed where she can gain the confidence she needs to grow into a happy healthy young dog. Spanky loves to cuddle up in a trusted person’s lap and would do well in a quiet home willing to provide plenty of love and guidance. ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, regular veterinary check-ups, and current vaccinations. This fee helps to defray the costs of medical care, supplies and boarding while the animals are in our care.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia. The Pet Rescue Center is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
