IDGSR welcomes Oakley into the safety of the rescue!!!!!

Oakley is a male German Shepherd mix who is between 14-18 months old. He found himself in a high-kill shelter but he was one of the lucky ones who got a second chance. Oakley is a shep mix of some kind who is a "low rider", not tall or long but more short and stocky. He is super cute and funny. Oakley gets along well with other dogs but he would do best with a nice sweet energetic female and they could tire each other out. Not cat-friendly so definitely no cats. He is very loving to people and gives kisses freely and is well-mannered since we have been working with him at the rescue. He does jump up but only to give you a kiss or affection. Oakley is a sweet boy who has a lot of love to give and wants to have a family of his own.

If you would like to make Oakley a part of your family, please copy the link and fill out an application.

About Our Rescue Group...

Imminent Danger German Shepherd Rescue started 5 yrs. ago rescuing German Shepherds and High Content Mixes from the Imminent Danger where they were sitting on Death Row in High Kill Animal Control Facilities in TN, NC, SC,KY, VA, GA & AL. Nearly 600 Dogs lives have been spared and we've never worked so hard in our lives to save these wonderful kids. Our process from saving these kids includes 30 years of experience in working breed dogs. We conduct Safer Tests with all dogs to determine the abilities of the dogs so that we can match the right dog to the right family. We do not shove our dogs out the door. We do multiple videos of the dogs as well to our potential adopters. We disclose all positive and negative behavior traits so our adopters can work on any training the dog may need. IDGSR starts the rehabilitation and training with these wonderful kids and our adopters are part of the team of folks who help to ensure these kids will never suffer another day of hardship in their lives again. IDGSR will not take Aggressive Dogs into the Rescue.
If you have ever loved a German Shepherd then you will know where our hearts are to save these dogs from a certain death. It is our goal to save more but we need wonderful qualified families who want to save a life and welcome a new family member. We continue the work with our adopters even after adoption, we help with training and advice and counsel. IDGSR's staff look forward to hearing from you. Help us to find your new devoted and loyal best friend.

Our Adoption Process...

see our website @
our adoption fees are based on age of the dog, from $150-$300. All dogs travel north on a paid Professional USDA transporter. There is a $125 transport + $25 for the Veterinarian Health check that all dogs are required to have before their trip to their new families.
All dogs are fully vetted before making their trip, have vaccinations, spayed or neutered and microchipped.
All of our dogs are fostered in East Tennessee and transports leave out weekly.
