Facts about BB

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Black (All)
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Male
  • Hair: Short
BB is a real darling. He is a black male kitty, on the small side, probably about seven years old. He was feral when he first arrived, but soon became tame and extra loving - as if to make up for lost time. BB will follow you hoping you will notice him and pet him. He is a loving soul. He does get a little skittish sometimes, which is a carryover from his early days – he might balk if approached abruptly, but once he starts getting petted, it’s all he wants. BB lost on eye a couple of years ago. He was in great pain and it had to be removed. It doesn’t seem to have had much effect on how well he navigates, but it is important for BB have a sensitive human companion who will monitor the eye situation. His one eye should be protected from any damage, because it’s the only one he has. Because of this, BB is considered a “special needs” kitty, but he hasn’t needed any extra medical attention since his eye was removed. He hangs out by himself most of the time, but doesn’t mind the other cats, so would do okay in a multi-cat environment. He would also be happy as the only cat in the house.
