Tuffy came to OPA with his bonded buddy Max.  They were both being surrendered to BARC because their mom was going to assisted living and OPA intervened.  Tuffy is an absolutely stunning medium haired orange and white boy.   When he came to us he was shy and missing his mom.  He still takes a while to warm up to people and new surroundings but once he does he is a very loyal companion.  He is very quiet and has a tiny meow that he uses when he wants some food, or just occasionally to say hi.

Tuffy enjoys resting the day away on his blanket and staring out the window.  He likes cat nip and will play with a mouse on a string when prompted.  He has had a few urinary tract infections so he needs to be on a urinary food. Luckily these days they have a wide selection.

Tuffy is extremely gentle.  He is de-clawed and has never resisted being held or put him in a carrier.  He also takes pills super easily and has never reacted to other cats or dogs.  He loves kids and his foster family call him the 'sneaky silent ninja' because he will quietly explore the house and wind up in their rooms without them knowing.
He is not a lap cat but will sit right next to you and get his chin scratched which is his favorite.  He would do really well in a quiet household that wants a gorgeous cat to spend the day with them.  His new owners would have to be patient because I believe he will be aloof in the beginning but once he settles in it will be all worth it.
