Charlie Brown's Story...
Our Charlie Brown, one of the 5 Dachshund-mix puppies named for "Peanuts" characters, is a sweet little guy who has so much fun playing with his siblings and the other dogs at A New Dawn. He is a little shy at first, but warms up when attention is paid to him. Charlie Brown is 4 months old and current on appropriate vaccinations. He is available for adoption with a signed Puppy Contract that requires his new family to bring him to the center in several weeks for him to be neutered, micro-chipped and complete his remaining vaccinations. Come love this little boy and take him home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie Brown, a Deer Park Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Deer Park, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Deer Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Deer Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Deer Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Deer Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
