Sometimes, forever homes aren't quite that. In July of 2013, Michael was adopted as a puppy from HSDC. The collie mix lived happily in his new home for almost a year, but when Michael's owner was forced to move, he was unable to take his companion along with him. In May of 2014, Michael returned to HSDC. Now after two years, Michael has still been unable to find a new home, and his kennel at Dickson County's Humane Society has been his bed almost as long as he's been on this earth. Exciteable and friendly, Michael adores having his ears scratch and running across the yard with HSDC employees. Although Michael does like to be the center of attention and the boss of the room, he does well with other dogs and cats! A medium sized dog with lots of energy, Michael is great for families with an active lifestyle, or someone looking for a companion to their current pets. While the staff at HSDC adore Michael, it is heartbreaking to work with a dog who has been at our facility so long, knowing what a wonderful animal he really is. Please come in to HSDC today and meet Michael, and help us finally see this gorgeous creature home.
