Shiloh is still very timid but is learning that humans just want to love him. He is coming out of the kennel more often to hang out with our family and is starting to like spending time out side. He is very shy and sometimes when going to pick him up he has nipped at hands. Never nipped at the kids though and my daughter picks him up all the time.

Shiloh comes from a hoarding situation; he had little to no human contact and lived with 30 other dogs of the same breeds.

If he feels trapped or scared, he will nip or fear-bite, for this reason, we highly recommend NO kids!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shiloh-boy, a Regina Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu for sale in Regina, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Regina.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Regina already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Regina breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature)/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Regina paves the way for another one to be saved.
