My story

A little information about Indy...
Hi there! As you can tell in my pictures, I am a long and lean beauty who from best my foster mom can tell am a cross between a lab and a Great Dane . . . she says whatever I am, I got the best of whatever breeds I am mixed with and that I have a very regal look to me :) I've got the prettiest shiny black coat with just a touch of white on my chest for interest and I'm only 36lbs and 7-8mos old so I shouldn't get too much bigger. I sit nicely for my food and treats, walk good on a leash, and I keep my area clean and accident free. I've gotten along with all of the other dogs I have met and like to play with them. While I've shown some interest in the cats, I haven't chased them at all and pretty much just leave them to themselves. I'm a little shy at first when you meet me but as soon as I see you're ok, I love to get some loving from you. If you are interested in someone who would love and adore you forever, please come see me in Durham May 21st & 22nd at the Homeward Bound CT Adoption Event . . . I'll be there waiting for you!

Indy will be coming to our next event at:

Durham Farigrounds
24 Townhouse Road
Durham, CT
May 21st and 22nd, 2016

Event information....

We are open to the public from 10 am to 4 pm. All final decisions are made by the rescues not Homeward Bound volunteers. If you are interested in this dog or any of our dogs please go to www.homewardboundadoptionevents.jimdo.com (copy and paste in browser window) and see all of the dogs coming and also fill out an application.

If you are a first time dog owner we my require a home visit prior to adoption.

If you rent or live in a condo we will require proof that you are able to have a dog. This could be a copy of the lease or condo agreement.

We request you bring all the residents in the household to the event along with any dog in your home for a meet and greet with our trainers.

Per the request of the rescues we may limit adoptions to only Connecticut homes due to the distance and support we give them. This again is strictly the rescues decision and hope you will honor that.

We also require a follow up visit with all families within a couple of months after the adoption.

If you have additional questions about our dogs feel free to contact us. Please understand that we are all volunteers and will try to get back to you as soon as possible. If it is close to our event we are very busy with pre-screening our applicants so please understand if we can't answer all your questions in a timely manner. Our goal is to make sure these dogs go to the best home possible.
