Ziggy's Story...
Ziggy is about 7 months old and a ball of energy. He loves being with people and running and playing in the yard. He has done well with other dogs at the rescue. He needs an owner who will work with him on basic commands and he has a bad habit of jumping which he is quickly learning the word "OFF" please read up on his breed and note this quote before you think about adopting Ziggy "He’s a tough dog bred to work in swamps and forests and requires a leader who is firm and consistent, with time to keep him occupied". If you have the heart, patients, energy and time for this wonderful boy please give Sharen a call at 517-548-5720.
Must be 21 or older a MI resident and a fenced yard is highly suggested for this dog.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ziggy, a Howell Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Howell, or seeking a Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Howell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Howell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Howell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Catahoula Leopard Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Howell paves the way for another one to be saved.
