Handsome Stevie is going to be such a loving and loyal companion for some lucky person. He was turned into a shelter as a stray so we do not know much about his first year but do know that this fellow is full of life and love and ready to find a home of his own. He is really in tune with his humans and is very smart. He enjoys playing fetch and will love to learn some new tricks. Stevie has such a blast with his toys tossing them about and making them squeak. He is a bit mouthy, so the stronger Kong type will certainly hold up longer that the stuffed ones! Stevie likes most dogs but introductions to others should be made carefully. He does very well with our cats. He is an active and strong young boy so we feel that he would be best suited in a home with no very young children. Stevie loves to explore on our leash walks around the farm but is a real home body at heart. He loves routine and having the security of a place to come home to. He does wonderfully in his crate and is housebroken. Stevie is 2 years old and weighs 36 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his shots. He has tested negative for heartworms and is on monthly preventatives for heartworms, fleas and ticks. If you would like to meet Stevie, the first step in our adoption process is the application. Our form can be completed on line at www.cedarfarmrescue.com. After you have submitted the form please call Tony at 336.251.8877 to make an appointment to visit with Stevie at our adoption center in downtown Mocksville. We are there by appointment only. Stevie is so thankful to have a second chance to find a real forever home and is very excited to meet you. Thank you for considering a rescued dog! 56935

About Cedar Farm

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue in central North Carolina, devoted to finding loving, caring, permanent homes for dogs in need. We have 6 rescued dogs of our own and began assisting with rescue transports in the spring of 2005. In doing the transports and making contacts with various rescue agencies, animal control officers and shelter volunteers, we realized the need was overwhelming for places to get dogs deserving a second chance to safety and began fostering dogs in the summer of 2005. Many of the shelters we assist are in very rural areas and have virtually no adoption traffic. Some of the shelters are not well-funded and can be scary places for the public to visit. We provide a temporary home where the dogs can get out of a shelter environment or away from an abusive or neglectful situation and actively work to find qualified permanent homes for them. We insure that all dogs are up to date on age-appropriate vetting and on heartworm preventative and have them spayed or neutered if they have not already been altered. Cedar Farm, Inc. is registered as a non-profit corporation with the State of North Carolina. and has been given 501c3 status by the IRS. Donations are tax deductible and non-refundable.
