My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

See Guy's video here:

Guy is an approximately 8 year old purebred papillon. Guy weighs about 6 pounds right now and we are working to add a little more weight to him.

A kind veterinarian in Boise took Guy in when a person that used to breed papillons dropped Guy off. Guy was in sad shape on that day. He has a condition called hypothyroidism that was left untreated for several years. That's why Guy has practically no fur.

The good news is that the medication that he will need to take the rest of his life is inexpensive and that he is responding well to treatment and his fur is coming back! His thyroid medication costs about $5 a month.

When asked to describe Guy in one word, his foster mom doesn't hesitate to say "delightful".

Guy is a happy dog that gets along with other dogs of all sizes and loves people. His foster mom considers him housetrained, but she never leaves him loose in the house when she can't supervise. Guy is accepting of being crated and sleeps through the night in his crate.

This is a smart little canine who would benefit from some obedience training and daily exercise. He enjoys spending time outside working in the yard with his foster family.

When you wake up to this little face, there is no reason not to smile! Guy is eternally optimistic and happy.

Guy's adoption fee is $200 to help reimburse this rescue's expenses for neuter, vaccines, microchip and to have his teeth cleaned.
