Emmat's Story...
Hello humans! I am Emmat! Although my name should probably be dracula because of my fangs. Tee-Hee! But don't worry I don't use them except for the occasional love nibble. I was brought to the shelter in 2016 when my owners had some major changes in their lives and felt I deserved a better life. I am a sweet young boy who still has lots of energy, so I would prefer a home that I can run around and play with those pesky stringy things. I would probably do ok with another cat as long as there is a slow introduction. I would love a sunny window to take my naps in after we play. If I sound like the purrfect cat for you come and meet me today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emmat, a Denver Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Denver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Denver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denver paves the way for another one to be saved.
