ADOPTION PENDING
Hi, I’m Winnie, and I have special news! I just graduated my basic training class and placed 2nd in my group! I had such a blast and everyone told me that I am a real 'natural' and very, very smart. I hang on my handler's every word and am super-eager to please. I've learned sit, down, touch, and look in a very short period of time. I’ve been asked to describe myself briefly here, so that you can decide if I might be a good addition to your family, so here goes….I’m a 1 year old pit bull terrier who was found as a stray back in December. I was picked up and spent 2 months in an overcrowded shelter, and people started talking about what they were going to do with me now that there was no space. Talk about stressful! I barely slept at night, wondering what was going to become of me. Then a rescue group saw my picture and heard the staff talk about what a sweetie I was and they offered me a place to stay! I was so lucky. I weigh 48 pounds and am spayed, microchipped and updated on vaccines. I’m an active girl, and love to get exercise. However, I will also turn right over and stay still for belly rubs! I enjoy long naps just as much as exercise. I like meeting new friends. I am good with easy-going male dogs. So, are you looking for a new addition? Consider me, please!
