Hello, my name is Mater. I'm a medium-sized guy (about 40 pounds) who appears to be a mostly shepherd mix. I am probably about 3 years old and was found as a stray. I am very strong and could probably pull a dogsled all by myself! When you see me rip around the playyard, it will make you laugh! I came to the shelter several months ago as a scared, cautious boy and the shelter staff have helped me blossom into a Mr. Happypants! I still don't enjoy being in a kennel by myself. I seem to like meeting other dogs but would probably be best in a home without young children since I was found as a stray originally. I've been at the shelter longer than anyone else and am hopeful it will be my turn to leave soon. Hope to see you soon!
