I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

UPDATE: 9-2-16 Our dear old Barnaby has patiently waited for someone to choose him, but no one has come. His body has grown weary & he is having trouble getting up. We are moving him from adoptions to hospice. His amazing foster mom, Beth, will continue to dote on him and love him as her own, and give him all the love his heart can hold. It is not meant to be that he will leave her side until he looks up at her to say, "I'm ready to go". Tears fall knowing that his time here on earth is coming to an end. He has been with Dolly's Legacy for six months, but we have no doubt it's been the most love-filled time of his life. Thank you to Beth for being you, and for being his earth angel. <3 Please send positive thoughts & send a prayer for them both.

ORGINAL POST: Barnaby is an elderly statesman who is a total snuggle bug and who has changed 180 degrees since he arrived on transport in mid March and was placed in a foster home. When he first arrived in his foster home he stayed to himself and cowered when his foster Mom came to pet him and love him. Now after a few weeks of love, ear scratches, and soft - kind words he is a totally different dog. He greets his foster Mom at the door when she returns home with tail wags, short barks of happiness and what we call "Happy Buns".
Barnaby is house trained (has not had one accident), is good around cats (they nap together on the couch) and has shown little to no interest in the neighborhood dogs while out on his twice daily walk. During his first few days in his foster home he was placed in the kennel when his foster Mom went to work and at night, that lasted less than a week though because he was 100% trust worthy outside of the kennel.
Barnaby is an older dog though and is showing some signs of hearing loss, arthritis (he takes a daily pill that has him feeling lots better!) and he spends the majority of his day napping. Barnaby currently lives with two foster adults and 3 cats. It is a quiet household and everyone gets along very well.

Barnaby's favorite activities include - snuggling on the couch while his foster mom reads, car rides, surveying the neighborhood from the front porch, naps, short strolls (strolls are at a slower pace than a walk), and Friday evening trips to Dairy Queen for an ice cream cone for his foster Mom and a pup cup of ice cream for him. If you have a quiet household, are looking for someone to lavish love upon and need someone to snuggle next you on the couch while watching TV or reading - Barnaby is the perfect dog for you.

Barnaby is 10-12 yrs old & weighs 45 lbs. Barnaby is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative & dewormed. He is negative for heartworm disease. Adoption fee is $ 175 . Why Adoption is a Great Option

BARNABY - HOSPICE CARE, a Lincoln Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Lincoln, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Lincoln.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lincoln already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lincoln breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lincoln paves the way for another one to be saved.
