Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Rooney! He is a beautiful smaller Black Lab, may be a slight mix but is definitely 100% Lab in personality. He is quite the looker (much more handsome in person) and such a nice boy to everyone, exactly why we are rescuing him :)
He loves people, no matter who he meets, he knows no stranger. He is good with other dogs too and has lived his life since a puppy in a great home but his owner passed away unfortunately. Rooney only ever barks when he hears someone pull in the driveway, otherwise is very quiet. Rooney loves to ride on a golf carts (and cars, boats, etc). He was the dog of the late great state Senator Rooney Bowen of Vienna, Georgia. Senator Bowen had dementia and then, passed. The family then asked our group to find him a home. He is a spectacular dog with no history or neglect or abuse as some rescue dogs do. He just loves everyone.
He weighs a little under 50 lbs and he is 2 years old.
Like all Labs, he super eager to please. loves to play, is obedient and respectful and very easy to train. He is house/crate trained, medium energy and extremely friendly.
Rooney is neutered, has all vaccines, is negative for Heartworm and tick diseases, has all preventatives and worming as well as a valid health certificate, apply today!
