Desi's Story...
Wants to tell you all about her day and play with you!

Desi is a beautiful cat who was found wandering the streets, declawed, without any way to defend herself. She was brought into her rescuer’s office so she could have a safe place until her forever home was found.

She is very friendly and chats with everyone who walks through the door. She loves to sit in her tree to look out the window. While she enjoys petting and playtime, she is just as content to sit and watch the world go by. As comfy as it is to have an office to hang out in, Desi needs a forever home and family of her very own to spend the rest of her life with. She’s just waiting for that special someone, maybe it’s you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Desi, a Houston Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Houston, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
