My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mitsu is a 3 year old Shiba Inu who grew up in an Amish puppy mill. Her leg was torn off in a cage when she was young and she was left to heal alone in the cage. Mitsu is extremely scared and shut down. She tried to curl into a small ball and make herself invisible.

Mitsu is starting to come out of her shell, with the help of friendly foster pup siblings. She enjoys being outside and has no trouble running around or negotiating stairs with a bit of patience. Mitsu will require a fearful dog training contract (this is a class for the humans - not the dog) and a fenced back yard (she is too scared to walk on a leash). Please consider donating to Mitsu's fund as we are still raising money for all our rescues: http://bit.ly/VzmJ7D

Mitsu is available for adoption to an extended area on the East Coast; she would do best in a family without small children.
