Dixie's Story...
Hi, I am Dixie. I am tiny girl. I am 10 weeks old and 2.5 pounds. I am spunky, and playful. I can sit already when asked. I use potty pads and sleep in a crate / pen when my foster mom can not keep an eye on me. I had a rough start and am blind in one eye, but it does not hold me back. I too young to stay home by myself for a full work day, I need to play and love on people ever 4 hours at least. I have very delicate bones and need to be handled gently, so best in home with children over 10. If you think I would be a good addition to your family please go to http://www.forrescue.net/ and complete an application. I am fostered near Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dixie, a Nashville Chihuahua/Papillon puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Papillon for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Chihuahua/Papillon puppy from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Papillon breeders who help with Chihuahua/Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
