My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pretty Joby is 6 years old, a pure golden, spayed, and is about 70 lbs. She is a breeder release and has spent most of her time tending puppies. She has not had the kind of life that she would have had, until now, so she needs adjustment time to get used to her new life. Her golden personality is slowly, but surely, emerging. When she finds her forever home, she might take a little extra time to settle in. And she is worth it!

******May 25 UPDATE*******
A little time is all that was needed for pretty Joby to start enjoying life. As a breeder dog, she spent her life tending puppies and monotony was her life. Being in a home was a little overwhelming for her at first. Her new forever home will need to wait a bit until she adjusts, but she is worth it. It has been wonderful to see her personality and independence blossom.

Joby is 6 years old, spayed female, 70 lbs. She is housebroken and has never had an accident. She is very polite and doesn't rush the door in either direction. She comes when she is called. She is crate trained, but sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom. Trustworthy and non-destructive, she is good with free roam. She is good with dogs and cats. She hasn't overreacted to thunder, but she does go under a table, though she hasn't cowered.

My real insight into her personality came this week. There is a causeway over South Boulder Creek as it empties into Barker Reservoir; it is narrow and six feet above the rushing water. Miss Joby walked right over without any hesitation! Every dog has balked when presented with this obstacle for the first time. Once she trusts you, she really will follow you anywhere.

I would like to see Joby with a compatible dog companion so that she can continue to blossom. She would do best where people are home most of the time.
