Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Champ is a handsome 6 year, 13 pound old boy who came into rescue when his family no longer wanted to take time for him. Currently, Champ is in a wonderful foster home in Florida.
Champ is a happy guy! He likes other dogs and does well with calm children over the age of 12 years of age. Champ has not been tested with kitties. Champ loves to go for a car ride and go for walks on his leash.
Champ is housetrained but like all dachshunds he will need to be confident in his environment to have good potty habits. All rescue dogs go thru a period of adjustment so understanding and patience is important.
Champ does not like to be shut out of a room and will whine and cry to come in with his person. Champ does cry when first put in his crate, but he will calm down with some time.
Champ would love a home where he could sleep in the big bed and have lots of time and attention. He would like a home where he would not have to spend a lot of time alone.
This handsome boy is just waiting for his forever home. Are you the lucky one who will welcome him into your family?
