Fagan's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, and good with kids.

Fagan's Story...

His "mom" has been admitted to a nursing home permanently. He "belongs" to my mother-in-law. For the past 3 years she lived in assisted living and was in and out of hospital OFTEN. I basically took care of cat for 8 years now. After mom could not keep him, cat went to live with sister-in-law that owned 20 cats. 10 indoor and 10 outdoor. Sis had many problems and did not take care of them properly in the last year. Sis died suddenly Dec. 2 and I have had cat since. Cat (Fagan) was under weight, had 2 abscess teeth, worms, fleas, respiratory problems and was behind on shots. A lot of the other cats had respiratory problems also.

I took him to our house as he is "special" directly after sis passed. I have nursed him back to health and have all vet records. Removed the 2 teeth, got shots, giving vitamins, treated for fleas, wormed, medicated respiratory problem and now he is good to go. We can not keep him as he does not get along with our cat and soon we are moving to a condo and retiring (5 years or so).

Reason
Needs new home as we have too many pets and eventually moving to condo that does not allow pets.

Adjectives that describe your pet:
Loves to sleep and sit with human. He is good natured, never bites, always uses liter box, has gotten used to my cat friendly 2 dogs, and very loveable! Does get alone with most cats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Fagan, a Akron Burmese cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Burmese for sale in Akron, or seeking a Burmese cat from a breeder in Akron.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Akron already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Akron breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Burmese breeders who help with Burmese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Akron paves the way for another one to be saved.
