Mitsy is a wonderful kitty with a story. She and another kitty – possibly her son – belonged to a homeless woman who could no longer keep them and they were taken to DAS. The other kitty had severe neurological problems and was blind. Mitsy was his companion and protector, but in her own sweet quiet way. When Brigid’s Crossing found out about the blind kitty and went to rescue him from DAS, Mitsy was almost overlooked – then somebody finally mentioned her and she came to live at Brigid’s Crossing with the other kitty. As a big fuss was made to help the other kitty - because he was in bad shape - Mitsy stayed quietly in the background, watching with concern. I (the writer of this) saw her there and petted her. I slept in the room with them that first night. In the middle of the night I felt a small, warm body pressing up against my side, cuddling up to me in the night. It was sweet Mitsy.

Mitsy now is not needed by the other kitty, as he has plenty of care and attention. But she needs somebody to love and to be loved in return. She is an older kitty now – about twelve – with a quiet energy. She is very affectionate. Mitsy is a short-haired Manx (so no tail) with dark brown tortie markings – some white and orange flame. She gets along fine with other kitties and is very easy-going. She would do well as an only kitty or in a multi-cat household. She will be your close and dear friend!
