Hello there, my name is Sugar Bear. I never thought I’d have to look for a second forever home in my lifetime, but here I am. I was adopted as a kitten by my wonderful special human. She even got me a friend to play with a few years later. Life was just great, until the worst thing ever happened. My special human died. There was no one to take me or my friend Princess, so we were taken to the pound, separated, and stuck in a cage. Lucky for us, some very nice volunteers from Henrico Humane rescued us and took us to a lovely foster home. It’s been hard living without my special human. I miss her very much. But I think she’d really like it if I found a new home where I could live the rest of my years being loved and doted on.
I may not be a kitten anymore, but there are some perks that come along with adopting an older kitty like me. I am no longer wild and crazy and won’t keep you up at night with lots of playing. I’d much rather be sleeping. But the very best part about adopting an older kitty like me is that I’ve already decided what kind of cat I want to be. For me, that’s a very affectionate kitty, who loves to snuggle with his special humans.
I’ve only ever lived with my friend Princess, so I’m not completely sure whether I like other cats, but I do know that I would prefer a home without dogs. They have one of those in my foster home, and he scares me. I sure hope someone out there is looking for a handsome, affectionate boy like me to shower with love and attention. I’d love to be your new best friend.
