Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Ashkii means "little boy" in Navajo. He is a sweet dog that we rescued from the reservation in Kayenta where he was abandoned as a puppy two years ago. He was found with his litter mates and brought to a shelter in Flagstaff where we got him. He has been a wonderful member of our family.
He is well behaved, goofy, affectionate, housebroken, up to date on his vaccinations and neutered. He doesn't bite/chew at things. He is not food aggressive. He sheds only minimally and he doesn't drool. He has been an only-dog but loves "play dates" with dog friends. He loves to go on walks and hikes. We have taken him on long car trips (Flagstaff to Oregon Coast was his longest ride) and he is a fantastic traveler. We discovered that he would potty on command during one of these long road trips! And snow is his favorite thing. Ever.
We have small children and he does not enjoy their company. He isn't aggressive with them, he just avoids them when he can. He gets along great with adults and other dogs. We are heartbroken to lose him but he would be happier in a home with adults. Our biggest priority is to find him the right home and we will plan on keeping him until he is adopted.
