UPDATE: Abby has settled in very nicely in her foster home! She is getting along splendidly with the resident dogs, including another smaller GSD mix foster that recently moved in. While Miss Abby is a “diva” who will let you know when she is feeling slighted, and can sometimes get “a little too excited” about unfamiliar dogs out in public, she has proven that she has very good social skills with dogs with whom she has been properly introduced. She attended a group training class this month, and did very well in close proximity to a number of other dogs in that structured environment, and is learning her basic training “P and Q’s” nicely. Little Miss Abigail is a terrier mix, so she is and will remain on the high energy side of things, but she is just the sweetest girl who bonds tightly to her person, and is very outgoing and happy to meet new people - and most (but probably not all) dogs too, as long as proper care is taken. If a dog like Abby sounds like a good fit for you, please ask to meet her – it’s a good bet she will bring a big smile to your face!
