Miles's Story...
Poor Miles was given to a guy by his girlfriend. Then a new girlfriend came into the picture who was apparently intimidated by their affection for each other. So the boyfriend gave in to the new girl and Miles was abandoned in need of a new home. Of course, the new baby on the way didn't help the situation, either. Sadly, it was all about the new girlfriend. Poor Miles and poor guy. Miles is a very affectionate boy that loves to be petted and sit on your lap. He is great with other cats and loves everyone. He is really hoping for a life long relationship this time. I'm sure the boyfriend is too, but good luck. Come see him at the cage free Colony Cats Adoption Center.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Miles, a Columbus Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
