My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rex! – male, neutered, vaccinated including Rabies, Heartworm tested (-), dewormed, tx Flea Preventative, approx 65-70lbs/, 5-6yrs, Chocolate Lab mix.

Rex was abandoned at the pound where he was to be euthanized due to over crowding and the simply fact that he is a more mature dog would mean that he would most likely be over looked.

Rex (aka Rexxy, Sexy Rexxy – as his foster home calls him) is just the sweetest gentleman. Rex isn’t a fan of the camera and is much more handsome when you’re up close and personal. He is house trained and crate trained, he knows his basic commands but could use a brush up, he walks ok on his leash once he gets settled in to his walk. He gets along with other dogs, cats and would likely be fine with respectful children of any age. Rex is more mature and we wouldn’t mind seeing him go to a home without toddlers, older children are preferred. Rex just wants to be loved; we can’t understand for the life of us why someone would abandon such a sweet, loving and very well mannered dog. He is calm and quiet, he can be crated or given free roam of the home, he is great with everyone he meets and is always wagging his tail with a big grin on his face. He’s not quite a jogging companion but would really enjoy long daily walks and hanging out in the back yard or at the cottage. If you’re looking for a mature, relaxed companion Rex is the one for your home.
