Spice (Combo Tested & Spayed)'s Story...
Spice is a beautiful one-year old female kitty who was surrendered by her owner on March 26, 2016. This gorgeous young lady has a buff-colored short smooth coat, a long ringed tail, and a very pretty face with large copper-colored eyes.

Spice was a bit of an 'enigma' when she first arrived in our shelter (or perhaps the term 'diva' would be more appropriate) :) At that time she had a sweet lovable side to her personality and also had a lot of 'cat-i-tude' depending upon her mood, and she always kept us guessing. We took preliminary photos in her cage the day she arrived with the promise we would more flattering pictures when she was relaxed and ready to pose for glamour pictures.

Within a few days Spice was enjoying a large cat tower in our Jungle Room and was definitely more relaxed, so we were thrilled to take updated photos in her plush comfy bed on April 23, 2016.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spice (Combo Tested & Spayed), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
