Kumquat's Story...
Meet Kumquat. This boy is so handsome! He was found abandoned with Mango, Papaya, and Apple. He is one of the kitties looking for a home where he will never be abandoned again.

This little sweetheart has a great personality. He's a very laid-back kitty and will make anyone very happy. Kumquat also loves to play fetch and will keep playing as long as you keep throwing. He will pick up his toy mouse and won't drop it until you put your hand under his mouth!

Kumquat's fur is so soft and shiny. He has some white under his chin and has white patches on his tummy. He is very good with the other babies he was found with.

If you're interested in adopting Kumquat, please fill out an adoption application at www.rescueahart.org. Kumquat would make a great pair with Apple. Kumquat and Apple love to bathe each other. His adoption fee includes him being fixed, combo-tested, vaccinated, and microchipped. Thanks!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kumquat, a Cincinnati Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
