My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DGSR welcomes Katie into the safety of the rescue!!!

Katie is a medium -sized German Shepherd who is about 3 & 1/2 yrs. old. She came to the rescue extremely neglected and looking very bad. She was on the euthanasia list the day that her foster mom got her. Her foster mom has gone above and beyond in restoring Katie's health. This is a description from her foster home:

"Hello! My name is Katie! I am mild natured and calm. I get along great with other dogs! I am also very intelligent. I love to cuddle and go on car rides too! I have lots of fun playing in the back yard and taking walks in the park. I love to play with other dogs and get along great with other pets. I'm very protective and will make you feel safe because I am loyal and will notify you if I suspect anything that would harm you. My bark is strong!

Grain free food is best for me. I also like organic honey and goats milk. It helps with my allergies. I once had a really bad skin allergy and it's gone now because I'm on a healthy diet. My fur is black with a beautiful light beige undercoat and I also have sweet brown eyes. I don't shed a lot and my oat is soft and silky. I also have cute pointy ears and love taking baths! I would be a great addition to anyone's family! I have been through a lot and just want some love and affection! "

Goats milk and honey is not necessary in her diet but a grain free dog food is always a plus for any dog. She may be good with cats, cat testing will be done in a few days.
