Ivy is a truly special, sweet, devoted and loving girl. Ivy has been boarding at Four Paws Pet Ranch since May 2015. Her house flooded and she was to board until the repairs were finished. Her owner kept extending her stay due to repairs and other issues. In the mean time, Ivy became one of the staffs favorites. She onlyone eye, but manages very well. During her stay she also had surgery to remove a tumor on her back leg. She has become a model guest at the ranch. Unfortunately, her owner decided she could no longer care for Ivy or afford to pay boarding, she herself was about to be homeless. She had decided to take Ivy to the shelter. The staff was truly upset and refused to let that happen. If Ivy went to the shelter, she would be euthanized due to her age, her breed, and disabilities.
Ivy has been living at the kennel ever since. She is a role model to some dogs. She maintains peace in the play yards and helps new boarding guests adjust to the environment. As much as she is loved by the staff, she deserves more. She deserves a home of her own.
If you are looking to adopt a true rescue dog to be your new companion and/or family addition, Ivy is your girl. She is approx. 11 years old, she needs a grain free diet, and she is good with big dogs. Ivy loves people and will make you smile every day.
