My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tiber is here and he wants the world to know he's looking for a forever life with his forever people. If interested in adopting Tiber please fill out an application here http://www.bestfriendsforlifeanimalrescue.com/
I've got to show the world All that I want to be And all my billities There's so much more to me Somehow, I have to make them Just understand I got it well in hand And, oh, how I've planned I'm spreadin' love There's no need to fear And I just feel so glad Every time I hear I'm coming out I want the world to know I got to let it show- from 'I'm Coming Out' By Diana Ross
Tiber is a very handsome 4 year old brindle Ditch Shepherd and Cur mix who weighs right at 65 lbs. He is a happy sweet fun loving goofball who thinks he makes the perfect lap dog. Tiber is house and crate trained. He has very good house manners and knows several commands such as sit, down, shake, stay or wait, come, and let's go outside. Our impish boy loves to play hard and would do best as an only boy or with a doggy sister to pal around with and help keep him occupied. Tiber is a high energy boy and will need an active family or person who is willing to spend the time and effort to continue his training to stimulate his natural intelligence and channel his energy to maximize his potential. He's the kind of boy who would make a good running partner or hiking companion. His best forever home will be with someone who loves and lives life as much as he does. True to his shepherd roots, he possesses the natural instinct to herd and will do so in a gentle fashion with other dogs and youngsters. While he is very good with children, we do suggest a home with older children which would be best for his active nature. Sorry but no cats for this adventurous guy as they would be part of the adventure. Tiber absolutely adores his people and is happiest being close to them when it is time to relax. He loves nothing more than to lay his head (or his whole body) on the lap of the object of his total affection. He absolutely loves taking long walks, playing fetch with tennis balls, chewing on toys like nylabones, and belly rubs. He does get excited when meeting other dogs in public and would benefit from additional training to ignore such distractions. Our super sweet boy is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. He is ready to reach his final destination into the loving home, hearts, and arms of the people who will take care of him for the rest of his life. If you find yourself thinking more and more about Kilgore we certainly know why. After all...who can resist the fun loving demeanor of a fun loving boy?
