Katrina's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Katrina's Story...
Katrina is a gorgeous, extremely sweet and gentle, roly-poly, robust and extremely sweet, three-year-old, 15-pound (on a tiny body) female, golden-eyed grey tabby cat with short little legs looking for a loving guardian.

Katrina is wonderful with other cats, but is extremely afraid of dogs. She has all her claws but lets you trim them. She is a very good traveler in her crate. She hardly makes a peep.

Katrina is looking for a cat-lover who can put her on a canned food diet to help her lose weight and give her some exercise to help her live a long and happy, healthy life. Because she is so chubby, she needs help with her grooming and appreciates being brushed.

She is otherwise healthy, spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, virus-tested and micro-chipped. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting her, please fill in the online application at http://famousfidorescue.com/rescueforms/machform/view.php?id=26727 and follow up by contacting Gloria at fido@famousfidorescue.com or 773-907-0305. Her adoption fee of $125 benefits the rescued pets of Famous Fido’s.

Katrina is staying at the Famous Fido Rescue Headquarters at 3124 W. Irving Park Road (at Troy Street) in Chicago. Please call Gloria at 773-907-0305 to make an appointment to meet her and all the other wonderful cats and dogs at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Katrina, a Chicago Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
