Buddy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Buddy's Story...
Wiggle bum Buddy has arrived. He is a loving one year old small lab mix, weighing in at 45 pounds. He just adores people and children. He loves attention and will give lots of kisses and hugs. He knows his basic commands and is excellent in his crate at night. He has a short coat so will have minimal shedding. He loves to play with other well socialised dogs. We do not know how he would be with cats.

This is a family dog, through and through. He is always smiling and his tail is always wagging. He was picked up as a stray originally and brought to the shelter. He has the cutest white markings on three of his paws. His recall is very good. He is a quiet dog, not a barker in his foster home. He rides well in the car and is completely housebroken.

Buddy is neutered, up to date with vaccines, including Bordetella, de-wormed, tested negative for heartworm and on given flea and heartworm prevention.

We are looking for a fully fenced property with a family that wants to spend quality time with Buddy. He walks quite well on a leash using body harness.

If you believe Buddy would make an ideal family member, please visit our website at barksandmeows.ca and click on his picture for an online application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buddy, a Duart Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Duart, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Duart.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duart already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duart breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duart paves the way for another one to be saved.
