Sophie's Story...
Meet Sophie! She is a 9 month old (as of June 2016) Lab mix with a very sweet disposition. Sophie is an independent dog, but she enjoys the company of other dogs. She is a very calm dog and would do well in a quieter environment. One of her favorite hobbies is curling up with her blanket. She gets along with everyone she meets, but too much noise can be a little overwhelming for her. Sophie would do best in a home with an established dog to show her the ropes.

Sophie is crate trained, potty trained, and walks extremely well on a leash. She does well riding in the car, but still needs a little assistance getting in. Once inside, she happily curls up and goes to sleep or looks out the window.

Sophie is spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped and heart worm tested negative.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sophie, a Yuba City Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Yuba City, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Yuba City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yuba City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yuba City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yuba City paves the way for another one to be saved.
