Higgins's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Higgins's Story...
Higgins was picked up wandering, which is typical for the breed if they don't have a fence, and no one claimed him. He is about 6 months old and weighs 56 lbs. He is sweet and happy and playful. He is just a big silly puppy. Loves to play with other big young dogs and also his people but is very gentle will small dogs! Higgins is neutered, UTD on all shots and HW negative. Great Pyr are not herding dogs, they are guardian dogs. They are not high energy but do enjoy daily walks and he is great on a leash. We will be requiring a fenced yard to keep him from wandering and to give him a place to stretch out. He is all puppy right now!. If you want to give this big baby his forever home, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Higgins, a Albany Great Pyrenees puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Albany, or seeking a Great Pyrenees puppy from a breeder in Albany.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Albany already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Albany breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Albany paves the way for another one to be saved.
