Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This is Spanky, a 4 yr old, 9 pound Maltese.
Spanky is a sweet and loving dog. He socializes perfectly with other dogs,he is medium energy level.
He absolutely LOVES daily walks, therefore he must go to a committed owner who will take him out on walks everyday. We can say that walks is Spanky's favorite activity. He also loves car rides.
He is housetrained; barks when he wants to go out potty. He is in a feeding and walking schedule, so he needs to go to a home where he will have a routine.
Spanky would be the perfect companion for someone who is retired or a professional that works from home. A home where he will be left alone for many hours (regular work hours) will not work for him.
He enjoys going out to the yard with his foster; he is not food aggressive or jealous of other dogs. He ignores dogs that bark at him during his walks.
Sleeps in a doggy bed right next to his foster's bed, and let's his foster know that he needs to go out potty as soon as she wakes up. Smart boy!
He absolutely DISLIKES to be crated or confined into a room; he will not tolerate that and will bark constantly if he is left confined. Spanky can have free roam of the house as he is not destructive, therefore his foster leaves him in the home with the other dogs while she runs errands. Spanky can be trusted to be alone in the house as he is a well behaved doggy.
