Gertrude's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Gertrude's Story...
We have several different delivery locations in VT. Our pets can be brought up to one of our many delivery locations in the Northeast once they are adopted. Our pets are fostered in VA and NC until they are adopted. For more information on our location and animals please see our main web site at www.saveamuttkennel.info

Gertie( my term of endearment for her) was born 8-1-2013. The parents were both purebred pits. Gertrude weighs around 60 pounds. She is a short and stocky build. She loves people. Gertrude is excellent with other dogs but will be best matched with a large breed male. Pits do not match well with the same sex. Gertie is very affectionate and loves to share kisses. She is house trained and crate trained. She lead quietly on a loose leash. She has traveled with her foster Mom and Dad and spent quiet nights in motels while they were on the road.

We want her to go to a home with NO SMALL BREED dogs, no cats and no children under 12 years old. That is just our polices for the pits in our care and please don not ask us to make an exception!

Gertrude is current on shots, deworming, heartworm testing and she is spayed and microchipped.

We do require a pre screen application to apply. You can get that on our web site at www.saveamuttkennel.info

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gertrude, a Burlington American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Burlington, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
