Zelda's Story...
Need a hiking buddy? Zelda's your girl! She'll keep up with even the most active person. Zelda is a Pointer/Redtick Coonhound mix and just over a year old. She is spayed, up to date, and microchipped. She's a very smart girl who would really benefit from brain exercises and training. She knows tricks such as sit, stay, spin, and go to bed. She even knows how to walk on a treadmill! She is making improvement with crate training and gets along with other dogs. She previously lived with a Great Dane and they got along well. She should go into a home with no cats. This girl is full of pep and ready for a forever home! If you are interested in adopting Zelda, please fill out an application at www.abandoneddogsofri.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zelda, a Glocester Pointer/Redtick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Redtick Coonhound for sale in Glocester, or seeking a Pointer/Redtick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Glocester.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Glocester already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Glocester breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Redtick Coonhound breeders who help with Pointer/Redtick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Glocester paves the way for another one to be saved.
