Nanuk's Story...
Meet Nanuk! He was dumped at an abandoned house off a dirt road. Luckily a good Samaritan stopped to check on him after watching him sit patiently on the porch waiting for his owner to return. Nanuk realized this nice person may be his only chance for help so he followed her home. His name, Alaskan for Polar Bear, really gets to the heart of this cuddle bugs personality who loves attention and learning all about being a house dog who isn't tossed in the back yard and forgotten about. He has made friends with large and small dogs in his foster home and he loves the children as well. He does well with cats! Nanuk is crate trained, house trained, and knows how to sit on command. Nanuk is active so he will do best with a large fenced in yard and mature older children. Nanuk who shows no signs of abuse as he is a happy go lucky puppy. He is neutered, micro chipped, fully vaccinated, and HW negative. If you are interested in Nanuk please mention him on your Adoption Application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nanuk, a Gillsville Husky/Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky/Great Pyrenees for sale in Gillsville, or seeking a Husky/Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Gillsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gillsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gillsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky/Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Husky/Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gillsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
