Charm's Story...
My name is Charm and you can't tell from the picture but I am a tripod. I was found wandering the street in 2014 with only three legs and a nice lady took me in. When she couldn't find my owners she decided to keep me but then a few months ago the source of her little daughters allergies was identified and... it was me! So she contacted PAWS about finding me a great new home. I am super sweet and quiet. I get along great with small kids (the little girl in my last home was just 2 years old!) and I love laps. I am missing my back leg so I have a little problem getting around fast and jumping high is just about impossible for me. If you are interested in me, please contact PAWS.
All PAWS-OK cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on their vaccinations, spayed or neutered and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV prior to being made available for adoption. The adoption fee is $70 (cash only). Some of our cats are available for adoption at the PetSmart on NW Expressway and Rockwell in OKC. Please check our website at pawsok.com and go to the "Adopt" tab to see a list of those currently available in the PetSmart Adoption Center. The first step in adoption is to complete an Adoption Request form which we use to help us match you with a cat or kitten that best meets your desires, experience and home environment. You can request one via e-mail at: pawsok@sbcglobal.net, download one on our website at www.pawsok.com or pick one up at our Adoption Center inside PetSmart. Thanks for adopting a rescued cat - they make the best pets!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charm, a Oklahoma City Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Oklahoma City, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Oklahoma City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oklahoma City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oklahoma City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oklahoma City paves the way for another one to be saved.
